Kalinga offers a whole new recreational activity that can really bring you, and your family together – white water rafting in Chico River. It can also be a bonding event for groups of friends, colleagues, and youth group members. White water rafting in Tabuk, Kalinga can open up a whole new world of scenic wonder as it takes you to places and gives you one of the best outdoor experiences in North Luzon, Philippines.

The white water rafting area in Kalinga is in a beautiful mountain setting at Chico River.  The spectacular beauty of the mountains and this gorgeous river of  Tabuk combine for an exciting and memorable white water rafting adventure. You can enjoy rapids that will give you a ripple but should not be overpowering. I was quite scared at first because I could not swim, not to mention it was my first time to try white water rafting, but with a guide your level of experience does not really matter!

LN11

The first part of the Chico River features waves and smaller rapids that are perfect for beginning rafters. The middle to the last part has more intense whitewater, including Class III rapids. The water level remains fairly consistent, so the rafting conditions are very reliable. You can even stop and swim at the designated areas throughout the course.

LN12

There are two outfitters available to help you with equipment and guided rafting trips. We got ours through Adventures and Expeditions Philippines, Inc. They offer solid equipment, and well trained guides. You can get the rafting equipment that you need from an outfitter, but you will also want to remember to bring some basic supplies for yourself. Sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, sandals or old shoes that can get wet, towels, and a change of clothes for after the rafting trip are items you will definitely need.

Haven’t done white water rafting :( Really really wish there’s be a chance to do so.

Thanks for sharing this. Hindi ako aware na may ganyan sa Kalinga. Sa CDO ko lang na try. Ang linis ng water. Keri lang tumambog at makainom.. Kami before chocolate yung kulay e. hahah! Kaya pagkatapos, ang dumi ko lang. Grabe naman yun, class III. Siguro sing laki ng bahay ang wave na yun. hihihi!

I miss your blog. parang ang tagal kong di nakabisita. ^_^
