With the range of airlines to choose from, like you, of course I want to score the best deal ; and one of the problem is the grueling process of trying to find the cheap flights online. Many flight search engines out there promise to help you plan your journey and find cheap airfares, the best I found is Skycanner which is available now in the Philippines (Tagalog and English language). Just visit their website www.skyscanner.com.ph to find the best promo fare and cheap flights.
Skyscanner is NOT A TRAVEL AGENCY, but a FLIGHT COMPARISON SITE. The company offers comprehensive coverage of flights available around the world and the cheapest prices. They are actually number a leading travel search site (number 1 in Europe and number 3 worldwide), providing instant online comparisons on millions of flight prices for over 1000 airlines, as well as hotels, car hire deals and holiday packages. In September 2011, Skyscanner opened an office in Singapore to support and grow their partners and customers in the Asia Pacific region.
Like many consumers, I find Skycanner favorable due to the following reasons:
· It is simple and easy to use, and also very fast
· It is incredibly clever and flexible – you don’t need to have dates or destinations in mind before you start to search. You can even search from the Philippines to everywhere .
· It’s easy to find the cheapest dates to travel – other sites may offer flight prices +/- 3 days of your initial travel date, but Skyscanner can show you the cheapest days to fly across a whole month and even the whole year.
Essentially, Skyscanner’s intelligent search technology is engineered to adapt to how each individual person thinks about travel, rather than impose a process on them (although the site is also well adapted for that type of user). Users can look for the best prices to a specific destination on a specific date, or for the best bargains, or for inspiration – whatever they need and are in the mood for. They can search the way they want to search and, thanks to their mobile apps, they can search for cheap flights wherever they are, whenever they wanted to.
In the Philippines, they show flight schedules and airfares of Philippine-based airlines like Cebu Pacific, AirPhil Express, Zest Air, Air Asia and SEAIR. They also show Philippine Airlines flights via their online travel agent partners.

And, in a market where add-on charges and hidden costs are very much a sore point with consumers, Skyscanner is a FREE SERVICE– the price you see on their site is the price you would be charged if you had gone directly to the airline site.
In addition, Skyscanner wanted to stress the importance of comparing airfares from all major airlines will definitely save you time and money. No more waiting for the airline site to load just to check on promo fares, once you have selected the flights they will take you direct to the booking engine of the airline or the travel agent, moving you ahead of the pack especially when there is a seat sale ongoing.
So for cheap airfares and promo fares, there’s only one major flight search engine in the Philippines and that is SKYSCANNER.

Have tried this, and I personally scored a cheap ticket. For some reason, when I tried book directly from the airline’s website, I couldn’t find the fare Skyscanner found for me. Really useful.
I tried it agad! ang laking tulong nito…. and you can have the prices in PHP na!
