Traveling to the Mediterranean has always been my dream, so when I first heard of the Santorini-inspired resort of Thunderbird Resort in Poro Point, La Union I was more than ecstatic. But I was only able to set foot on it during Lakbay Norte 3 where we had a sumptuous dinner courtesy of the government of La Union.
A massive white hotel with blue domes, and stone stairs, Thunderbird Resort in Poro Point is located by the shores of La Union overlooking the endless blue sea. The magnificently-designed luxury hotel is surrounded by a lush manicured garden, lush green golf course and has a pool with a lovely pool. The Fiesta Casino is also run nearby with patrons from nearby provinces. We did not really get to enter it but I was told it offers the same exciting games such baccarat, black jack and poker like the ones in Thunderbird Resort in Rizal. My friends who love to play bingo and online playing roles at pokergames.com would surely enjoy it here.
We didn’t get to sleep at Thunderbird Resort Poro Point as we’re scheduled to stay overnight at another resort but we definitely enjoyed our dinner here. We dined at the open air by the lobby overlooking the sea. Foods such as Seafood Kebab in Wasabi Dressing, Orange Teriyaki Beef, Mediterranean Chicken in Lemon, Salmon pizza and Ragu on Penne Pasta where served. Yummy Cupcakes, sliced fruits and cocktails were also served.
Aside from the waves that beckon surfers, Thunderbird Resort in Poro Point is another attraction that put La Union on the tourist’s map.

Nakakamiss yang Thunderbird. Sarap lang mag-staycation talaga hihi ganda rin ng view kapag pa-sunset na
waahhh! we didnt get to see the sunset there.
I super miss the sunset in Poro Point… I agree super sarap ng food nila specially yung breakfast spread nila..
