Back in the days, every little girl my age probably knows the pink sassy Japanese bobtail cat sporting a large red bow – no other than the posh Hello Kitty! A brainchild of Yuko Shimizu, Hello Kitty was produced and distributed by Sanrio, a Japanese corporation. I remember my sister used to collect everything that speaks Hello Kitty – from notebooks to blankets, pillows, clocks, stuff toys, etc!
Sanrio Hello Kitty Town
So imagine my sexcitement when I learned we’re actually heading to Hello Kitty Town in Malaysia during the Malaysia Tourism Hunt 2013! Yes, this theme park which is unheard of for most Filipinos sits blissfully in Nusaya Johor, merely 10 minute drive from its sister company – Legoland Malaysia.
Hello Kitty Town (along with the Little Big Club) is worth a try for families traveling to Malaysia with their young children. Surprise your kids with endless entertainment – from tea cup rides, to playgrounds, interactive activities and even meet and greet with Hello Kitty and friends which they will surely treasure for a lifetime!
Even big girls who are Hello Kitty fans can make their childhood dream come true by visiting Sanrio Hello Kitty Town. After all, you don’t have to fly all the way to Japan to experience the magic of Sanrio!
The Little Big Club
Oh, you’re little boys need not frown as Putheri Harbour Family Theme Park have something in store for them – The Little Big Club! Head to the third floor of the four level building to meet the famed children’s characters like Barney, Thomas and Friends, Pingu, Angelina Ballerina and Bob the Builder! Hop on to varied rides like the Thomas and Friend bumper cars, Bob’s Can-Do Crew scrambler ride, and Bumping Buffers-Steamies.
Other attractions include Thomas and Friends Imagination Station, Harold’s Helitours, Bertie the Bus. Colin Crane Drop and Topham Hatt’s Play Station! Another exciting feature of The Little Big Club is the live performance of Barney and friends akin to that TV Show!
If your kids can’t get enough of this friendly characters, treat them to themed birthday party here!
The Hello Kitty Town and the Little Big Club is open from Monday to Sunday 10 AM to 6 PM.
