Passengers are responsible for their own bags when they stop and get off or on the bus, es[ecially during border crossing.
Taking the bus from Macau to Hongkong is a great experience if you want to see the HZMB (Sea Bridge), but personally, the ferry is less complicated as you need to clear immigration before boarding the ferry to Macau then after getting off the ferry in Hongkong. So, if you are traveling with kids and seniors, the ferry is the more convenient option, unless of course if they have seasickness. And since the ferry disembarks at the city center, it’s easier to get to your hotel by walking, by bus or by taxi. If you really want to travel by bus, I’d recommend Option 1 as it is less complicated.
