Lately I got the chance to visit the colossal Adventure Cove Water Park during the Grand Opening of the Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), the region’s only water park infused with marine life elements.  Adventure Cove Water Park is actually the “wet experience” of the newly opened Marine Life Park, the “dry experience” is the SEA Aquarium.

The Sentosa water park boasts of groundbreaking water slides such as Whirlpool Wash Out and Spiral Wash Out where you’ll be funneled into a gravity-defying oscillating tube ride. In additions, there’s the Pipeline Plunge, Tidal Twister, Dueling Racer and Riptide Rocket, Southeast Asia’s first hydro-magnetic coaster!

I didn’t have the luxury of time to ride the dinghy rider that propels through gravity-defying uphill climbs and sudden drops or experience the thrill of being washed out into an open bowl of swirling water. But it’s alright because I think it’s more fun to try this nerve-racking tube ride with family or friends in Sentosa water park.

I notice that management of this SEA adventure resort and waterpark really has a remarkable focus on the safety of their visitors.  Lifeguards with two-way radio are everywhere, reminders and life vests dappled the area.  Visitors can also dine at Sentosa water park; there are restaurants inside such as the Bay Restaurant with a scenic view of the water park’s surroundings.

Adventure Cove Water Park also features a Big Bucket Tree House, a thrilling water wonderland bursting with exhilarating interactive water play elements such as water squirts and water slides and cargo net climb. Splashworks on the other hand flaunts of wet and wild rope swings to walking the balance beam, tight rope and cargo net, and a free-fall platform cliff-jumping!

The charming Seahorse Hideaway is where kids can frolic in shallow wading pool with water squirting from whimsical seahorses. While the cutting-edge Bluwater Bay is the place to surf up all day! It’s also an impeccable spot to relax; laze in the loungers fronting the giant wave pool while people watching.

I guess the most sought-after place in SEA adventure resort and waterpark  is the Rainbow Reef. This is where visitors go to snorkel and encounter the kaleidoscopic corals and fishes. There’s also the Immersive Programs which I didn’t get to see. This includes ray-feeding and shark encounters and the interaction with the controversial bottle-nose dolphins. But what really caught my attention are the canyons, jungles, gardens and grotto caves at the Adventure River.

SEA adventure resort and waterpark features a tale of ancient sea life civilization as reflected in the water park’s architectural style. This revolves around 3 themes: Volcanic Archipelago, the Ancients, and the coming of the New Age.
