How to get to Tottori from Tokyo
By Air
- ANNA airlines have daily flights 5 times a day from Tokyo Haneda Airport to Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport.
- At Tottori Airport, take a bus to Tottori Station. Travel time is about 20 minutes and fare is about JPY 460/PHP 219/USD 4/EURO 4/SGD 6/MYR 17.

By Bus
There are express buses from Tokyo to Tottori.
- At JR Tokyo Station Yaesu Exit, walk to Kajibashi Parking Lot.
- Take a bus bound for JR Tottori Station.
Fare:
(adult) JPY 10,700/PHP 5,098/USD 95/EURO 81/SGD 130/MYR 386.

By Train
There are many routes from Tokyo to Tottori by train. But here’s the fastest route (about 5.5 hours) with the cheapest fare.
- From Tokyo Station, take the Shinkansen Nozomi 107
- Alight at Himeji. Travel time is around 3 hours.
- At Himeji Station. Transfer to Limited Express Super Hakuto 7 to Tottori. Travel time is about 2.5 hours.
- Alight at Tottori Station.
Total Travel Time: About 5.5 hours

GETTING AROUND TOTTORI
BY TOURIST TAXI
<There’s a Tottori Tourist Taxi that is discounted for foreign tourists. Just go to Tottori City International Tourist Support Center near the North Exit of Tottori Station. But the taxis are limited, so better be early.
Tottori Tourist Taxi Fare: JPY 2,000/PHP 961/USD 18/EURO 15/SGD 25/MYR 73 for 3 hours per person
Capacity: up to 4 persons
Operation Hours: Daily 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, except December 31 – January 1
IMPORTANT: So for example, even if you are alone, you can avail of the Tottori Tourist Taxi. According to our guide, you still have to pay JPY 2,000 for the entire taxi. Now if you are traveling with someone or with a group, then each person must pay JPY 2,000.
TIP: You will get a coupon card if you avail of the Tottori Tourist Taxi and you can show it at some attractions to get a discounted entrance fee. Make sure you have your passport with you.

BY BUS
The cheapest way to get around Tottori City is by bus since there’s no subway here. Buses in Tottori end/start in Tottori Bus Station. There are 2 buses that’s helpful to tourists since they stop at major tourist spots in Tottori: the ¥100 Kukuri Bus and the Loop Kirinjishi Bus.
1.¥100 KUKURI Bus
The ¥100 Kukuri Bus offers JPY 100 yen fare per ride. The complete route takes about 33 minutes.

2.LOOP KIRINJISHI BUS
The Loop Kirinjishi Bus has the Kirinjishi drawing (mythical creature of Inaba Region) on its side. Ride this bus if you are headed to the Sand Castle Museum, Watabe Museum, Tottori Sand Dunes and Tottori Port.
Loop Kirinjishi Bus Operating Hours: The Loop Kirinjishi Bus operates daily from July 20 – August 30. But it only operates on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), summer and holidays, except January 1 for the rest of the year. It departs every 1-2 hours at Bus Stop 0 fronting Tottori Station.
