CEBU-BOHOL FERRY SCHEDULE AND RATES 2023

Bohol is back in the limelight this year. And if you’re thinking of adding it on your itinerary after your Cebu trip, here’s how you can get there by sea. This blog will tell you the Cebu to Bohol ferry and fast-craft schedules and rates for 2023, as well as the Bohol to Cebu ferry schedules and fast-craft rates.

Take note there are 3 routes you can choose from Cebu to Bohol by sea.

• Cebu to Tagbilaran (Bohol) by ferry and fast-craft
• Cebu to Tubigon (Bohol) by ferry
• Cebu to Getafe (Bohol) by fast-craft

I have tried the first 2 routes, and they’re both recommended. Hopefully, in the near future, I’ll get to try the Getafe route too.

 1.CEBU TO TAGBILARAN

Cebu, you can go to Bohol (Tagbilaran) by Oceanjet Fastcraft or Lite Shipping Ferry (RORO). Oceanjet is just a small fast craft for passengers. If you want to bring your car, book the Lite Shipping Ferry (RORO).

How to get to Tagbilaran, Bohol from Cebu by Ferry:

• In Cebu City, make your way Cebu Pier 1 (Port of Cebu Passenger Terminal) where the Oceanjet and Lite Shipping Ferry are docked.  I recommend purchasing a ticket prior to your trip to secure a seat. You can book through the links below. You may also walk in and purchase a ticket before the gate at the respective booth of the shipping companies.
• Once you are inside the passenger terminal, check-in at Oceanjet or Lite Shipping. You must do this at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure on your ticket. Basically, it’s like checking-in at the airport.
• After checking-in, wait for your trip at your designated gate.

Important:  There are cafes and stores inside Cebu Pier 1 where you can dine and buy drinks. There are also souvenirs for sale.

Via OCEANJET (Fast craft)

Origin: Port of Cebu Passenger Pier 1

Destination: Port of Tagbilaran

Travel time: 2 hours

Oceanjet Fast craft Fare: Tourist Air (Open Air) ₱800 ($14), Business Class ₱1200 ($21)

IMPORTANT:

• Passengers must check-in at least 30 minutes before their departure time.
• Passengers are only allowed to hand carry luggage not exceeding 15kg, and 25 cm x35 cm x 40 cm in size.
• Carrier reserves the right to refuse live plants and animals for carriage.
• Refunds and revalidation of tickets is only valid 6 months from the date of issuance.

Via LITE SHIPPING (Ferry/RORO)

Origin: Port of Cebu Passenger Terminal 1

Destination: Port of Tagbilaran

Travel Time: 4 Hours

Lite Ferry Fare: Standard ₱370 ($7), Tourist ₱520 ($9)

2.CEBU TO TUBIGON (BOHOL)

Vessel: LITE SHIPPING

Origin: Port of Cebu Passenger Terminal 2 (Pier 3)

Destination: Port of Tubigon

Travel Time: 2 Hours

Ferry Fare: Economy ₱330 ($6), Tour Sitting ₱390 ($7) , Business ₱460 ($8)

3.CEBU TO GETAFE (BOHOL)

Vessel: Oceanjet

Origin: Port of Cebu Pier 1

Destination: Port of Tubigon

Travel Time: 1 hour 15 mins

Ferry Fare: Tourist Class (Open Air) ₱450 ($8), Business Class ₱800 ($14)
